Kareena Kapoor to change name after marriage

Kareena Kapoor to change name after marriage

Kareena Kapoor has revealed she will change her name after marriage. The actress is marrying long-term boyfriend Saif Ali Khan in October, after postponing the date for several months.

She told The Times of India: "Saif doesn't want me to change anything about myself, including my name, after
marriage. Post-marriage I will be Kareena Kapoor Khan. "That means I have the privilege of having two of the most powerful surnames in Bollywood attached to my name."

Kapoor was reportedly forced to drop out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Romeo and Juliet update because the
filmmaker thought a married woman would be unconvincing as Juliet.

In July, the 31-year-old star denied that her marriage to Khan will affect her acting ambitions. She said: "I think I will be like Zohra Sehgal who would be working till 90 - so tough luck. I am not going
to give my place to anyone."

Saif is not that romantic

Saif is not that romantic

Kareena Kapoor has revealed details of Saif Ali Khan's marriage proposal. In an interview with Hello! India, the actress explained how the couple first became properly acquainted. "We were in Ladakh to shoot Tashan. I had just broken up with Shahid Kapoor. Even though I had met Saif socially, we hadn't spoken much. When I spotted him near the hotel pool, he was tanning on a lounge chair, clad in just jeans. I told my friend, 'Oh my God… he's so hot!'

"After our first shot, we chatted and he made me laugh a lot. I hope it always stays that way. Today, we are
best friends. I hope marriage only adds to what we share." The actress, who starred with Khan in Agent Vinod, revealed that he never really declared his affections
verbally and didn't formally propose.

"Actually, he never really said it… he isn't that romantic. We'd been dating for a couple of months, and he said, 'Look… I'm not 25 years old, you know. I can't keep dropping you home every night'. "So, he came and met my mother and told her, 'She's my woman, I want to spend the rest of my life with her. We want to live together'. My mum was pretty cool about it. I just got my stuff together and that was it. No fuss."
